CHICKEN AND NUT BUTTER DOG COOKIES 

How awesome are these cookies!!  Made with Chicken, Cheese and Nut Butter they are super healthy and nutritious. My girls absolutely love them and I know yours will too!  Had sooo much fun baking them, but it's even better watching the girls gobble them up.

What you need:

 

1 cup flour (your choice - I used 1/2 buckwheat, 1/2 coconut)

1/2 cup oatmeal

1/4 cup LSA​

1/4 - 1/2 cup nut butter (I used almond but you can use peanut)

1/4 cup coconut oil

1/2 cup chicken stock

1 egg

1/3 cup shredded cheese

1 tsp baking soda

Prep:

 

Pre-heat oven to 150ºC.  In a large bowl or food processor combine flour, oats, LSA and baking soda. Mix thoroughly. Add egg, cheese, chicken stock and coconut oil and mix again. Then add nut butter and continue to mix until it forms into a dough like consistency.

Line a baking tray with baking paper.  Roll the dough mixture into the desired thickness and cut out cookie shapes.  Place each cookie on the baking tray and bake for approx 40 minutes or until golden brown.  Allow to cool on a cooling tray.

 

The amount of cookies you make depends on the cookie cutter and thickness of your dough. I did a variety of shapes and managed to get approx 20 cookies.

 

Best stored in air-tight container in the fridge but can also be frozen.
