How crazy easy are homemade dog treats to make.  And how cute are they!!

Decided my two girls deserved a really healthy yummy treat so whipped these up in a flash with really simple ingredients.  I used a cookie cutter to give mine a fun shape but you don't have to - a basic round cookie will still have your dog wagging its tail!

Super healthy, super delicious and so much fun.  My two girls absolutely love them!

What you need:

2 1/2  cups oats or whole wheat flour

1 teaspoon baking powder

1 cup natural peanut butter

1 cup water

1 egg

Preheat oven to 150 - 1800°C

Add oats to a blender and blend until almost flour like.  Add peanut butter, egg and baking powder in a large mixing bowl and mix well. Slowly add water and continue to stir until well-combined and a dough is forming. The dough should be thick. Once combined use your hands to press the dough into a ball.

Place dough ball on a flat service (with a sprinkle of flour if needed) and roll out evenly with a rolling pin. Use a cookie cutter to cut the dough into desired shape and place on baking tray lined with baking paper.

Bake for approx 20 minutes or until golden brown. Let cool and store in an airtight container.
